Laundry Room. Update.

So remember when I told you about my project for January?  Well, I know it is almost March ... and I am still not done.  However, I felt I owed you some proof that I am really am working on it!

This has been one of my favorite images for a long time.  I HATE that I have a "walk through" laundry room.  But it is reality.  So here's what I am trying to create.

Now ... don't laugh ... but this is how inspiration looks.  The above photo from Country Living was my inspiration.  And my reality is STARTING to look, well,  nothing like the above photo!!

Here is the not quite done reality ... I have to get my painted doors hung.  Although I am going to keep the open shelving in the upper cabinets.  I am one of those people that needs to see what I have.  If it is put away I totally forget I have it, and then I might as well pitch it.  Well, that isn't going to happen.

Do you spy my little Kerry Steele piece on the wall.  I got that from Kerry during one of the ORC's for my home office.  I have always loved it and so happy to be able to see it every day! I started painting the cabinets Sherwin Williams Majolica.  I loved it so much ... I just kept going!  What a much happier space!

And then there is the SINK ... it is UGLY.  I was going to just take the faucet out and cover the whole thing up.  But of course, nothing is quite that easy.  There is no shut off for the water so I have called my plumber to see if he can cap it off for me.  While having a sink in the laundry is nice, it is literally around the corner from my kitchen sink ... so I don't think I am really giving up much convenience.

And here is how I have put some lipstick on that Pig!

Still things to tweak and finish ... considering a window treatment on my back door, found some great brushed gold hardware for the cabinets I am keeping, etc.

There is a chance this might get completed in March!  Thanks for your patience!

Cheers to the weekend my friends!
