Fabrics and YaYa's ... no better therapy!

I like to touch fabrics.  It is kind of a sickness ... but it is also Therapy.  I love touching, feeling ... I want fabrics that not only look good, but feel good, physically AND mentally.

The three fabrics in the middle my client already has. Chair, Window Seat Cushion and MGBW Sofa  ... we are looking for a little fluff for the room. You know ... in Pillows.

Therapy day at Forsyth's ... I've mentioned them  before here ...

I just threw them all in ... and started eliminating ... and re arranging ... quite like a puzzle ... but more than one possibility!

Then I popped over to Lewis and Sheron ... to throw in a few more superstars.

Open. Tight. Flowing.  Sounds like what I think a yoga class would be ... except for I don't do yoga.  But have thought about it and agree that it would be good for me.  In the meantime, I meditate with fabrics.

This mix and match all took place on the L&S cutting table.  They were extremely hospitable as I played and took photos and emailed my client. She was walking in the rain in Boston at the time and I filled her text message InBox with my Rambling Creations.

Enough ... I was hungry and ready for the next stop.  What I didn't expect, was to be stopped in my tracks.  You see, I will see my Ya Ya's and Erin tomorrow at the AU/Ark game in Auburn.  We have been planning this for days ... and as I step outside the door of L&S ... this license tag was parked next to me.  Yep ... a good day all around!!

We must not be the only YaYa's out there ... feeling a kindred spirit today. Except I am very envious.  I want this tag.  I think they might have noticed if I stole it.  So I didn't.

Damn!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and hope to see you all back next week ... thank you so much for continuing to check in with me!

On the MOVE and Thank you!!

Yesterday I was overwhelmed ... when I woke up and looked at my desk I truly wanted to walk back out of the room ... so I told all of you about my emotional breakdown!!  And you took it all in stride and pushed me to move forward and get myself an INTERN!

I made the call to a local college and am officially about to interview some interns (I hope even ONE is interested!)!  Thank you all for listening and helping me make the commitment.

So this is how the rest of the day went ... Fantastic!!  I met with two clients on projects we are close to wrapping up and felt energized by this ... as well as deliveries of one chair to a client for her BOUDOIR and pillows and window treatments delivered for a Design Delivered Client!

Remember where I showed you my inspiration fabric and then the actual fabrics from FORSYTH Fabrics in Atlanta?  Well ... I am quite pleased!

These are headed to a Lake House

I will be requesting photos once everything is installed!

And you know I'll share!

And here is the CHAIR ... going into a very chic Master Bedroom ... This Chair came from her husband's family when they got married ... she wanted to keep it BUT ... here's what it looked like

And here is what it looks like today.  Okay, the upholsterer ... who I absolutely adore ... came up with the little arm covers.  I have not embraced them yet.  But I appreciate his thought process!!

A little Fabric LOVE!!

A good day ... some things coming out of the LINGERING stage!!  And you, my sweet friends helped me move FORWARD!!  Sometimes a girl just needs a PUSH so she doesn't JUMP!!

Monday Planning ...

Monday mornings are a re-grouping of sorts for me.  I try not to schedule any client or other appointments.  I need the quiet time to get the weekend out and get myself together for a productive week.  I am a planner.  And sometimes my plans don't go as I want.  I am learning to cope with this.  But I am sure happy when the week goes the way I set it up on Monday Mornings!

Back in the Spring I ran into a gorgeous Suzanne Kasler fabric I showed you HERE ... well I found this look alike at Forsyth Fabrics in Atlanta this past weekend.  Just the colors I want to add a little punch to a Lake House Master Bedroom I am working on.

We are going to use this Bold and Beautiful color palette to build the rest of the room ...

Several of you have asked about my Fig Tree ... and where to buy one.  I got mine from StoneGate Gardens in Lincoln.  About a 40 minute drive to get there for me ... but worth every minute.

Not only do they have plants they have a wonderful little gift and retail area ... for now ... they are building a new SHOP and hopefully will have it open for Christmas.  I will be taking another ride out there to get ready for the Holidays.  Oh!  Did I say that?  Yikes!!

If you want a FIG ... you will have to order it ... it might take a couple of weeks ... just speak with my good friend Louise at Stonegate Gardens and she will Hook You Up!

Here's hoping your Monday goes as planned ... and that you Planned Well!!
