Creating A Room. Update.

Before Christmas I was on a roll Creating A Space.  My Living Room.  Now, I mentioned that this is no formal living space.  This is really a family room.  And while I wanted to keep it fresh and bright my kids were worried when I painted the walls Benjamin Moore Linen White.  My vision was to keep the slate clean and bring my color pop in with furnishings and soft goods.

I put a halt on this space once the Christmas tree went up ... but the back design story was still moving.  And in came my TigerTiger.

I have some really traditional furniture in here that I wanted to keep, but stuffy traditional is not my vibe.  I want it to be fun and make me smile when I pass by.  Jim Thompson's TigerTiger adds a little whimsy and I believed it was high time I introduced some bouillon fringe into my world.

The fabric is LUSCIOUS.  No kidding. It is soft and I stuffed a giant down pillow insert inside so that I know for certain there will be teenage girls sleeping more comfortably on the sofa while they binge-watch Netflix.

**Quick Tip**  Did you know the best looking pillows are stuffed with an insert that is larger than the pillow?  My rule of thumb ... 18" pillow gets a 20" insert. 20" pillow gets a 22" insert.

And So On.

Happy Hump Day my friends.  I'll be back outside with the shovel today getting strong arms!
